The album consists of 250 works by the author - not only the famous shots of Granovsky, which have already become classic, but also his lesser-known works, which the Lumiere Gallery managed to find over the past 5 years of working with the master's negatives. The book opens with introductory articles by the founder of the Lumiere Gallery Natalia Grigoryeva-Litvinskaya, the director of the A.V. Shchusev Museum of Architecture Elizaveta Likhacheva, and the founder of the Still Art Foundation Elena Karisalova. The book's design was developed by graphic designer Evgeny Korneev. "Moscow chronicler," "the chief architectural photographer of the USSR" - that's what Naum Granovsky's contemporaries called him. For more than half a century, Moscow remained the main character of his photographs, he looked at it as a living person, noting all the changes that were happening to it. He visited the same streets and squares, consistently capturing the changing appearance of 20th century Moscow. Much of what Granovsky photographed in the 60s-80s no longer exists: the Intourist and Russia hotels have been demolished, the largest open-air pool in the USSR "Moscow" and the beloved Ferris wheel in Gorky Park are no longer there.
