The theoretical foundations and applied aspects of the use of water and mineral natural resources are considered. Information about the physicochemical properties of water is given, the factors and processes of the formation of the chemical composition of natural waters, their classification and quality assessment methods, as well as the possible consequences of their pollution, are considered. Particular attention is paid to the methods of protecting underground water sources of non -centralized water supply from technogenic pollution. The issues of the current state of the mineral resource base and mineral production technologies are highlighted, and the features of mining in the aspect of their impact on the environment are set out. The current state and principles of mineral resource management are considered, technologies for reducing the technogenic load of mountain production on the natural environment are described.
