The training manual outlines: history, theoretical foundations and methodology of protected affairs. The text mentioned more than 200 primary sources belonging to the pen of reserves, environmentalists in Russia and various countries of the world. On the basis of modern concepts of natural science, the prerequisites and the need to organize the regional, Russian and international network of commanded territories are disclosed in order to form a holistic biosphere worldview among future specialists. Its basis is the foundation on which the prospects for the development of modern society are built and formed in conditions of stable noosphere transformations on planet Earth. It is shown that in maintaining the stability of the functional processes of the “healthy environment of life” and a specific person, the main role belongs to natural standards - reserves and adjacent territories. The role of institutions of the protected system and their departments of protection, science and environmental education in the training of personnel for reserves and rational nature management were considered.
Textbook (including RPD, examples in the appendix) was developed taking into account the requirements of the current Federal State Educational Standard of Higher Education in the direction of preparation “Biology” (level of undergraduate) profiles: “Hunting”, “Bioecology”, can be used in lecture courses of undergraduates and graduate students on biological, natural-geographical, forestry and engineering faculties of universities
