Physiology of woody plants. Tutorial

The training manual discusses the complex structure of the woody plant from the cellular to the body level, the structure of forest phytocenoses and ecosystems. Physiological processes: water regime, photosynthesis, breathing, mineral nutrition, the formation of the stability of wood to the adverse effects of the abiotic and biotic factors of the environment - are stated taking into account the conditions of the natural growth of individual species. For the first time, the functions of secondary metabolites of woody plants and their role in the relationships of woody species with grassy species, microorganisms and insects, the excretory activity of the roots, the principles of diagnosis and the role of mycorizes in the provision of plants in the main mineral elements are considered.
