The training manual discusses issues related to monitoring systems of water bodies and an assessment of anthropogenic impact on water bodies. The influence of hydrodynamic conditions on the spread of pollutants, the tasks and principles of organizing monitoring systems at the global and local levels, and comprehensive assessments of water quality were studied. Mathematical models of assessment and prediction of the quality of water are given. Additionally, information on biological monitoring of water bodies has been allocated.
