The biology course for students of medical universities has been set out. New biological (biomedical) disciplines - genomics, proteomics, metabolomics, biology of living systems are described, the basic properties of life are described, the main hypotheses of the origin of life are given. The biological foundations of the life and development of living forms, including a person, are considered in accordance with the universal levels of the organization of life. Particular attention is paid to the biosocial essence of man and his role in relations with nature, as well as issues of general ecology and human ecology. In the field of ecology, the issues of medical parasitology are discussed in detail. Modern ideas about anthropogenesis, human race and racogenesis, about adaptive (environmental) types of people are considered.
