The workbook is part of the linear teaching materials on biology edited by V.V. Pasechnik. The notebook includes support schemes, drawings, comparative and generalizing tables, laboratory work, terminological crosswords. Tasks are aimed at the formation of subject and meta-subject skills (plan activities, highlight characteristic features, compare, classify, establish causal relationships, transform information, etc) Tasks marked with a sign *imply work with additional sources of information in order to prepare messages and presentations.
After each chapter, training tests of different types are placed in the notebook: with the choice of one or more correct answers, to establish conformity and establish the correct sequence. Their implementation is aimed at developing students" skills in students, and also gives them the opportunity to evaluate the level of assimilation of educational material
