The result of a person’s implementation by economic, cultural, recreational needs during anthropogenic activity was the introduction of biological, physical and chemical changes that are harmful to living organisms, generally referred to as “pollution”. The sources, environmental and social consequences of agricultural pollution, their current state in Russia and the Baikal region, and measures to optimize in modern environmental management conditions were considered.
