The book is dedicated to the study of the formation process of the French perceptions of the Russian campaign of 1812. Based on a wide range of sources, including those introduced into scholarly circulation for the first time, the author attempted to identify the peculiarities of contemporary perceptions of the events by participants in the military actions against Russia, as well as to determine the trajectory of the subsequent transformation of the images of these events in the perception of French society. The research is conducted within the framework of the traditions of military-historical anthropology. The book is aimed at specialists and all those interested in foreign and domestic history.
