The book discusses the physical principles of the generation of x -ray radiation when the beam of electrons with the surface of the metal is interacted. The fundamental possibility of reducing the temperature of the operation of X-ray systems is discussed by using carbon nanotubes for emitters and increasing the operational characteristics of X-ray tubes using mono- and nanostructural materials. Mathematical modeling of the structural stability of nanomaterials using the methods of continuous environment mechanics is presented. Technological aspects of obtaining nanostructural materials are affected in relation to the working conditions of X -ray tubes. Practical recommendations are given on changing the design scheme of existing X -ray sources due to the use of nanomaterials.
