God of war. Genius. Light. That's definitely not who I am, as those around me never stop repeating. I have to admit: I am strange. I don't think so myself, but others do.
Summer of 1965. Shell runs away from home at the gas station where he has lived since birth. He wants to become a man. After all, on the plateau overlooking the Assa Valley, nothing heroic happens, only silence and the scents of grass prevail. Suddenly, as if out of nowhere, a girl with violet eyes appears. With her, the black and white world becomes colorful. In Vivian's universe, Shell no longer feels different. He unquestionably submits to her, his queen, without noticing where this loyalty leads.
'My Queen' is an ode to youth, love, and freedom. The characters of Jean-Baptiste Andrea seek harmony in a world turned upside down, and the author gives us a chance to find it with them.
