One of the rather controversial figures of the Great Patriotic War is Army General Dmitry Grigoryevich Pavlov. Who was he? An enemy, a fool, or just a victim of circumstances? It is Pavlov that we owe the creation of the famous T-34 tank, and although he did not directly participate in its development, it was he, as the head of the Main Armored Directorate, who initiated the work on creating a new tank with anti-projectile armor, a diesel engine, and a 76-millimeter gun after his combat experience in Spain. As for his activities as the head of the Western Military District, it is difficult to fend off the enemy when your hands are tied, especially when higher-ups want to use you as a scapegoat. Personally, I believe Pavlov was simply made a scapegoat, bearing the burden of others' mistakes. But what if there is a chance to replay this, how will events unfold then?
