The new book by Mark Kazarnovsky, "My Happy Childhood," tells the story of an 'average' Soviet boy in the 1930s-1940s in a country that no longer exists. All the stories are based on factual materials, reflecting real events of the recent past. The main character of the book - initially a little boy, then a young man - is touched by the war, and he spends his whole life searching for his deceased father. The fates of other characters are also closely intertwined with the life of the country, revealing to the reader pictures of the past and immersing them in reflections on goodness, love, and happiness.
