The author allowed himself to look back at his own pedagogical path as a teacher, methodologist, and philologist. The articles included in the book cover thirty years. It is thought that it makes sense for a modern teacher to look back at the past in order to move towards the future. The book is divided into three sections. In the first one, the author reflects on himself in the context of the profession and partly outside of it. The second section contains articles of a general nature about literature and its time. The third section is about the methodology of studying literature in a school setting. The book is addressed to literature teachers of all types of educational institutions, students of philological faculties of pedagogical universities, and all readers interested in cultural and historical past.
