In this book, a brilliant chess player presents 60 of his games to the reader. These are not always his best games (three of them were lost to Fischer), but they definitely contain something memorable to the author. The games are carefully and thoroughly commented on by Fischer. Each game is preceded by a brief but incisive characterization written by Grandmaster Evans. The entire book allows not only to study R. Fischer's playing style but also to form an impression of him as a person and a chess player. This is aided by the preface to the Russian edition of the book written by the seventh world champion V. Smyslov, and the concluding comprehensive article by Grandmaster A. Suetin. For a wide range of chess enthusiasts.
