The textbook is intended for musical education and education of children of 8-9 years old. The material proposed in it continues to the line for the development of the creative abilities of students, education of respect for the musical traditions of their people, to the domestic and world musical culture. Music education of students in the third grade is based on the experience of the previous two years of study. The content of the textbook includes project activities. The result of the first creative project will be a songbook-album, which studies throughout the school year will select songs of various subjects. The content of the textbook complies with the requirements for the Federal State Educational Standard of Primary General Education 2009, takes into account age and individual features of younger students and built on the basis of the methodological approaches of the system of educational training L.V. Zankov. The textbook received positive conclusions of the Russian Academy of Sciences (No. 10106-5215-168 of 01.11.2010) and the Russian Academy of Education (No. 01-5-7D-403 of 10/20/2010) The textbook is included in the federal list of textbooks recommended for use in educational process in general education institutions.
