Music as destiny

The first edition of the book of peculiar literary works of the great Russian composer of the twentieth century Georgy Vasilyevich Sviridov aroused great interest not only among the musical community, but also among the wide reader audience. Time has shown that the book "Music as Fate" still excites our compatriots. In addition, a new generation of creative youth has grown up who love and perform a variety of Sviridov’s works, but are not familiar with his "flying" records that reveal the secrets of his soul and mind, because the book immediately became a bibliographic rarity. The second edition of the diaries includes new, not published texts until time and offers deep and timely comments prepared by the musicologist, president of the National Sviridov Fund Alexander Belonenko and the leading researcher at the Institute of World Literature of the Russian Academy of Sciences Sergey Subbotin
