The efforts of the Publishing House "White Apple" since May 2017 in Russian begins to publish the famous series of comics "Pedigree hip-hop". The author of this series, Ed Pisskor, tells about his idea: “I have long wanted to tell a story in which the narrative would be built on the landscapes of hip-hop environment, but I did not have a clear idea of how it should look.” The series" Hip-hop describes the events that took place at the stage of the formation of hip-hop as a full-fledged culture in the interval between the end of the 1970s and until the mid-1980s.
In 2013, the comic received a prestigious iSner as a series of comics, the New York Times was recognized as a bestseller of the year among graphic novels, and The Washington Post included him in the list of 10 best graphic novels of 2013.
