The main goal of the collection is to teach children of preschool and primary school age to play the piano. Currently, children are not starting to teach from 6-7 years old, as it was before, but from 5 years and even younger, so there is a need for new textbooks designed for this age. It is very important that from the very first lessons the child not only listen to music, but he himself can play something, so in this school much attention is paid to the initial period of study. The New School consists of three sections that cover the educational material from the preparatory class to 3 Children"s Music School. The basis of the collection is the “gold” fund of children"s piano literature, the domestic and foreign piano classics, without which the formation of a young musician is impossible.
The first part of the school is a piano alphabet, which is widely represented by a completely new educational material proposed for studying the keyboard and musical notation. Its presence favorably distinguishes this manual from the previously published, where the section on the initial period of training is practically absent or minimized. The songs that are in large numbers are presented in this part are understandable even the youngest musicians, are available for performance and are convenient for singing. The amount of material proposed to assimilate the primary methods of playing the instrument is enough to consolidate the acquired knowledge and skills. For the development of figurative and associative thinking of children, the first part of the school is illustrated. The verbal text combined with the picture wakes up the imagination of the child, allows you to discuss the content of the song with it and try to convey it to the musical language.
The two subsequent parts are built on the principle of traditional collections for beginners.
The second section is intended for students of 1-2th grades. It includes all the necessary sections of the program, and the repertoire is built according to the degree of complication. Traditionally used in the pedagogical practice, the works of classic composers and processing of folk songs are complemented by new plays of modern composers.
The third part contains a pedagogical repertoire for students of grades 2-3. All sections of the program are also presented here: polyphonic works, large form, play, sketches
