Karl Carl in a short form and elegant form of letters to an imaginary young student sets out his method of teaching the play on the piano. Ten letters follow one after another after eight or ten weeks, so the student has time to put the tips of the teacher into practice. Cherni writes about the general rules of a good game on the piano, carcass, applique, gamma and exercises, the principles of choosing and learning plays, about the initial principles of General Basa and even about improvisation. According to the fair remark of the author himself, in letters he avoided “dryness of ordinary educational books and each subject made it clear to every student of all age”, and the use of the above advice “will benefit students of all age and in any era of their teachings”.
The manual is addressed to students and teachers of music educational institutions, as well as a wide circle of piano art.
