The book is dedicated to the vocalist of the legendary Joy Division group Ian Curtis, who committed suicide in 1980 at the age of 23. And decades later, he continues to be a cult figure. The authors of his new biography are Mick Middles, the journalist who was the first to interview Joy Division (and then closely communicated with the group already in the revival version of New Order), and Lindsay Reed, who was the co -founder of Factory Records along with his then husband Tony Wilson. Based on documents and interviews with many people - from family members of Curtis and his closest creative environment to third -party witnesses - they are trying to imagine the life of this extraordinary person in its prosaic truth, on which his personality and his inspiration and his tragedy have grown
