The Gypsy Baron (German. "Zigeunerbaron") is an operetta in three acts of the Austrian composer Johann Strauss (son), written by him in 1885 and was a world success. The basis of the libretto was the novel “Suffy” by the Hungarian writer M. Yokai. The main topic of operetta is the topic of human dignity and all -conquering love, national pride and desire for freedom.
