The ingenious Russian composer Mikhail Ivanovich Glinka (1804-1857) is the founder of the Russian vocal school, a well -known teacher of singing, a dropmer of the court singing chapel. Conducting practical work with singers, Glinka was deeply interested in the methods of setting voice and sought to systematize his rich pedagogical experience.
In this publication, for the first time, two vocal and pedagogical works of M. I. Glinka are presented for the first time under one cover-"exercises for improving the voice, methodological explanations and vocalizes-salt-sopjio" and "School of Singing for Soprano". Glinka formulated by the Glinka Method for setting the voice - “first improve natural tones", that is, to learn and strengthen notes of the middle range, and then add notes of nearby registers to them - later received the name“ concentric ”. It is effective both for the initial strengthening of the voice and alignment of registers, and for maintaining the optimal singing form - as daily exercises
