The book of the professor, doctor of medical sciences I. I. Levidov (1881-1941) "The singing voice in a healthy and sick state" sets its task to present scientific data on a singing voice, the knowledge of which is directly or indirectly important for vocalists. In parallel, it reports the results of personal experiments and observations of the author in the field of development and education of the vocalist"s voice. Those forms of the disease of the voice apparatus that are a direct or indirect consequence of the irrational setting of the voice and the incorrect vocal regime of the singers, as well as preventive measures against these diseases. As part of the publication, questions regarding the physiology and pathology of the children"s voice are also affected.
