Diagnosis and treatment of focal liver lesions are important problems of modern medicine. Attempts to introduce magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in the field of studies of the abdominal pathology have been undertaken from the moment its clinical use began. The use of modern MR scanning techniques in conjunction with traditional MRI and the use of hepatotropic contrasting drugs allows you to obtain maximum information on the morphological characteristics of the focus of liver damage, the biochemical composition and functional state of the organ.
At the same time, there is no established opinion in the medical community about the possibilities of these methods. There are no clear indications for their use, issues of a methodological and technical nature remain unresolved.
