The preparation of the monograph was carried out based on the materials of the author's archaeological research conducted at the sanctuary at the Gurzufskoe Saddle Pass in 1981-1993 and at other sites (ancient mountain path, lower defensive wall of the Roman fortress of Charax). Complete stratigraphic data on the sanctuary's original appearance, including the complex of sacrificial pits containing a rich votive inventory, are introduced into scientific circulation for the first time. The work includes an analysis of the materials from the Hellenistic and Roman periods of the sanctuary, showing the role of the findings in the study of the history and culture of the population of the Mountain Crimea in the 2nd century BC - 2nd century AD, its contacts with the surrounding world, including ancient civilization.
