Each of us can find many “frozen” reactions in which one way or another reflects dependence on parents or the environment in which we grew. They all demand that they are noticed, that is, realized.
To become really an adult, you need to go through the separation process. Separation means that you managed to complete all the old children"s processes in which you did not receive important initiation in adult life.
When we appropriate our experience, we live our processes, we separate and become mature. Consciously overcome the fear of the absorbing parent, restore their separateness, grieve about what happened in childhood, strengthen their personal rights - this is the only way to release old defenses and resistance to relations. Having matured, we will feel quite stable.
Successful separation guarantees that:
• Find a support in yourself,
• adult life will stop scaring you,
• You will feel strong enough to overcome all difficulties,
• You will allow yourself what you were even afraid to think about before,
• You will stop representing other people large, and yourself - small and disenfranchised,
• You will begin to appreciate and respect yourself,
• You will find out what you are and what you really want.
Veronika Khlebova is an existential psychologist, 10 years of personal therapy and 13 years of practice, a blogger and mother of three children. The author of 4 books, including the bestseller to be a victim is no longer profitable
