About the book
Several general principles make it possible to achieve the highest results in any field of activity. It doesn’t matter whether someone is trying to climb the Olympic Games, make a scientific breakthrough or create a work of art, many practices leading to success coincide.

In this book, Brad Stulberg (former consultant McKinji and Columnist, writing about performance science) and Steve Magnes (coach of leading athletes) together explore and describe these practices.

It combines the stories of the best of the best in their fields and the latest scientific research on performance. The result is dozens of ways to improve your productivity: from competent alternation of rest and work to proper goal -setting.

If you want to reach a new level - whatever you do - this is a book for you.

From the authors
We were occupied by the question: is healthy and stable maximum performance possible? And if so, how to achieve it? What"s the secret? What, if they are, the principles underlie excellent performance? How can people like us - that is, almost any people - apply them?

absorbed in these issues, we did as any scientist or journalist would do. We buried in literature and talked in search of answers with numerous luminaries of our field, working in various sectors: mathematicians, researchers, artists, athletes. And this book was born.

We cannot guarantee that reading this book will lead you to obtain a golden Olympic medal, that you will write a masterpiece or open a new mathematical theory. Unfortunately, genetics plays an important role in our lives. However, we can guarantee that reading this book will help you strengthen your natural abilities so that you can increase your productivity in a healthy and sustainable way.
