He understands the complex issues of modern everyday drama not only of village life, but the whole country after the collapse of the Soviet Union.
The artistic side of his stories, it seems, does not differ in particularly outstanding virtues, they just have everything that should be in serious prose, but it is important that their mood is fraught with elements of a rich creative search.
Stories are imbued with the philosophy of the life of the Russian village in the manifestations of its joyful and anxious being, in the subtle laws of its long -suffering and long -suffering existence.
