The collection is dedicated to the work of the outstanding composer, the first classic of Russian musical culture, D. S. Bortniansky (1751–1825). In this edition, for the first time in full, six motets written by the composer during his Italian training (1768–1779) are presented. The musical text of the published works is based on autographs and contemporary copies of works preserved in the largest archives of St. Petersburg and Paris. The scores are accompanied by scholarly articles and illustrations. This edition is intended for researchers of Russian musical culture, musician-performers, as well as a wide range of Russian music enthusiasts. Compiled by A.V. Chuvashov.
