The collection includes articles dedicated to a wide range of issues related to humanitarian and literary tanatology. The task is to explore the artistic and sociocultural experience of understanding and describing death. Mortal deficiency is considered on extensive material from various scientific and theoretical positions. Analysis of the tanatological problem is carried out taking into account the organization of artistic speech, the characteristics of the narrative, semiotic mechanisms of representation, national and tender aspects, the genre, the topics, etc. The publication is addressed to philologists, as well as all humanities that are interested in minority discourses in culture
