Seneca-Lucius Anney Seneca the Younger (c. 4 BC-c. 65)-an outstanding Roman philosopher-style, poet, playwright, statesman. In the last years of his life, Seneca paid special attention to moral self -improvement, many of his thoughts are consonant with the Christian attitude - it was not without reason that Seneca was considered “almost a Christian” and attributed him to correspondence with the apostle Paul. “Moral letters to Lucilia”, addressed to the younger contemporary of Seneca, the prosecutor of Sicily, is the result of the philosophy and life experience of Seneca. This is probably the most readable composition of Seneca from the Middle Ages until now. Written in simple and wise language, “Letters” today can serve as a guide to a morally correct life
