“He came, enchanted and came happiness,” Pablo Nerud recalled the most famous poet of Spain Federico Garcia Lorke. His light -winged poetry seemed infinitely distant from the Sumburs and disasters of the twentieth century. Even in the late surreal verses of Lorca, he appeared, as it were, a resident of another planet. However, in his harmonious fairy -tale songs, the sad voices of modernity sounded implicitly, to which the author could not remain indifferent. And the poet’s tragic death under the bullets of the Franco soldiers may have been predicted in his poems: “There are ships that are only waiting for a careless look to calmly go under the water.”
