Monument to Patriarch Hermogenes (Hermogenes) Two centuries. From idea to implementation

The book is devoted to the history of the creation of a monument to Patriarch Hermogen - the Great Patriot, the Savior of the Fatherland and Faith of Orthodox, the inspiration of the national militia, since 1803 to the present day. The publication opens the articles of historians dedicated to the life and activities of the Patriarch of the Hermogene, as well as a brief overview of the initiatives to perpetuate his memory. The second part is collected and first published documents from the state archives of Moscow, St. Petersburg, the State Historical Museum, Museum-Museum V.M.vasnetsov, dedicated to all pre-revolutionary initiatives on the construction of the monument, and creative competitions, with their detailed description. The periodic print materials are also published. The final part is devoted to the activities of the Foundation, public organizations, the Russian Orthodox Church and the state authorities telling about the difficult path at the end of the historical project of our predecessors to perpetuate the memory of the Patriarch of Hermogens - setting it a decent monument in the city of Moscow at the walls of the ancient Kremlin. The monument was created on the initiative of the people, supported by the Russian Orthodox Church and its first hierarch, the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia, Cyril, as well as the state of the Russian and his president of V.V. Putin.
