Osiios Lucas Monastery in Central Greece (Fokid region) was founded around the middle of the X century by the Great Greek Fedoon, Reverend Luke Wheel. This is one of the most preserved monastic complexes of the Byzantine period in Greece. His kernel is connected to each other, the temple of the Virgin (the second half of the X century) and the Cathedral of St. Luke (1011 or 1022, mosaic and frescoes 1030-1040) The Church of the Virgin is a classic sample of a crusade of a dome church on four columns. Outside and inside the temple is decorated with exquisite carvings in the mramor. The Cathedral of St. Luke is larger and more complex on the composition and design of the Cathedral of St. Luke is a real masterpiece of Byzantine architecture. In his mosaics performed by the best Constantinople masters, deep spirituality and prayer concentration are connected to the royal luxury and beauty of images. The album introduces the history of the monastery, architecture, mosaics and frescoes of his temples, which belong to the number of the greatest works of the art of the heyday of the Byzantine Empire
