Osiios Lucas Monastery in Central Greece (Fokid region) was founded around the middle of the X century by the Great Greek Fedoon, Reverend Luke Wheel. This is one of the most preserved monastic complexes of the Byzantine period in Greece. His kernel is connected to each other, the temple of the Virgin (the second half of the X century) and the Cathedral of St. Luke (1011 or 1022, mosaic and frescoes 1030-1040) The Church of the Virgin is a classic sample of a crusade of a dome church on four columns. Outside and inside the temple is decorated with exquisite carvings in the mramor.
