The monograph summarizes and systematizes data on the fluctuating behavior of cyclopolienes, associated with rapid shifts of element-centered migrants along the periphery of 3-9-membered rings. It is shown that depending on the ring size, nature of the migrant, substituents in the ring, and the medium, the constants of the rates of circular rearrangements cover a wide range of frequencies: from 10^6 to 10^8 s^-1 at room temperature. Special attention is paid to the experimental and theoretical analysis of various mechanisms that determine these rearrangements and the correlation of preferred mechanisms with the structural characteristics of the rearranging compounds. The ways of practical application of fluctuating cyclopolienes are considered. For organic chemists, physical chemists, and a wide range of specialists in the field of chemistry.
