This book, no doubt, is one of the best works of Russian spiritual literature of the 20th century. Probably, some readers are familiar with its individual parts, which were released "Samizdat" in the early seventies, but only now this work is published entirely in two volumes. This is the result of the work of a remarkable ascetic of piety, a deep religious thinker, the jealous Orthodox Christian Nikolai Evgrafovich Pestov. The work is whole and, at the same time, all -kining.
