The debut novel of the cult American writer and screenwriter Peter Hedes, the basis of the film of the same name by Lasse Halstrom (Abba, Winepers, Chocolate, Hachiko) with Johnny Depp and Leonard DiCaprio in the main roles, for the role of Arnie Grape Young Dee. Caprio received his first nomination for Oscar, and the operator of the picture was the legendary Sven Nyukvist, the permanent operator of Ingmara Bergman.
