The famous novel “Walden, or Life in the Forest” represents reflections on nature, about the modern Toro society, written on the basis of real experience. In 1845, a young writer decided to challenge an industrial society, enthusiastically pursuit of material values. He built a house on the shore of a pond in the forests of Massachusetts and spent two years, two months and two days there, abandoning the achievements of civilization and any property. Henry Toro"s autobiographical book, in which he talks about an experiment that much ahead of his era, thanks to the colorful descriptions, accuracy of satire and temperamental polemics, became an American classic and influenced a variety of currents of modern philosophical thought
