Vladimir Gandelsman (b. 1948) - one of the brightest modern poets. He is the author of two dozen poetry collections, laureate of many poetic prizes: Liberty (2008), Russian Prize (2008), Moscow Account (2011), Anthologia (2012) His poetry continues the American line of St. Petersburg modernism, represented by the names of Nabokov and Brodsky. Gandelsman’s poetry expands our ideas about the modern world, it is experimental, but at the same time does not break with the tradition of the Silver Age. Since 1989 he has been living in the USA. A brilliant translator (from Shakespeare, Lewis Carroll, Emily Dikinson to modern American poets), he masterfully conveys the flexibility and emotional novelty of their art message
