The change of eras is felt in the story very acutely, this is one of the topics that deeply worried the author. The action begins in the legendary times, when the ancestors of words find a double -player, in the struggle for the championship they begin to multiply and form rival states. Preventions, conjugation and cases appear, words become more and more complicated. The author develops a fantastic idea that the world of words exists parallel to the world of people, but is inextricably linked with it. The connection, however, is not direct, but rather resembles the connection of the genome of a living being and its appearance, a genotype with a phenotype. It is no coincidence that the expression “double spiral of history” appears in the narrative.
Closer to the middle of the story in the spotlight is a group of words connected by close friendly and family ties. Their destinies lead the plot until the end of the story, the end of which, however, does not put an end to history.
The adventures of words are illustrated by the original drawings of Helia Suzilovskaya, reminiscent of calligrams. Numerous drawings very accurately convey the atmosphere of this unusual work
