Mitch Album (b. 1958) is a famous American writer, journalist, scriptwriter, playwright, radio and TV presenter and musician, whose books were sold in a circulation of more than 39 million copies around the world. “Tuesdays with Morry” (1997)-a book, which is a chronicle of the author’s weekly meetings with his former teacher of sociology, 78-year-old Morri Schwartz, dying of an incurable disease. Every Tuesday Mitch came from Michigan to Massachusetts and led with Morry thorough conversations about life and death, about love and friendship, about true and false values. Trying to find a way to pay for Morry"s medical accounts, Mitch decided to release a book telling about these meetings. Published at first with a small circulation, “Tuesdays ...” thanks to the mention of the Winfrey Opherian show, they entered the New York Times"s bestseller list, and then took the top line for a long time. Repeatedly reprinted and translated into more than 40 languages, Elbom"s book in 1999 became the literary basis of the film of the same name with Jack Lemmon as Morri (Emmy Award) and Hank Azaria in the role of Mitch
