The third and fourth books of the novel “Transbaikalians” by Vasily Balyabin (1900-1990) are devoted to the Siberians, descendants of the brave Russian explorers, those who established Soviet power on the eastern outskirts of immense Russia.
The novel shows the fighting days and nights of the Trans -Baikal partisans, bravely fighting with Japanese interventionists and white -precious gangs of Ataman Semenov and Baron Ungern. The reader pass images of the leaders of the partisan movement in the Far East, a large place in the work is occupied by the image of the legendary hero of the Civil War Sergey Lazo.
The fourth book of the novel ends with the story of the initial stage of peaceful life in Transbaikalia
