Lucius Anney Seneca (4 BC-65)-a Roman philosopher-style, poet, teacher of Nero-and by order of Nero, who became the emperor, Seneca took himself his life. So he knew firsthand what power is and what passions boil around it, like a change in Fortune. Seneca created his tragedies on the basis of the myths of ancient Greece and the works of the Great Greeks, the founders of drama - Aeschylus, Sophocles, Euripides. Any educated Roman knew these stories: and the fact that Medea did not spare his own children in order to take revenge on Tesya’s betrayal, and the fact that Edip, without knowing it, killed his father and divided the bed with his mother, etc. So attention Seneca creator is not focused on plot ups and downs, but on how a person meets the vicissitudes of fate: whether he accepts them readily or dares to resist the will of the gods.
