The author’s generation got a difficult fate. The childhood of his peers was seized by the Great Patriotic War, depriving many joys and too early introducing to the anxiety and the requirements of adulthood. The years of youth took place in the barracks atmosphere of recent years of the Stalinist regime. The maturity fell on the “thaw”, “virgin lands”, “five -year -old at four years”, to attempts to “catch up and overtake America”, as well as for a long period of “stagnation”. And finally, at the end of the life path, this generation fell under the collapse of “perestroika”, the consequences of which were unexpectedly tragic.
Stunned by freedom and democracy, they looked at what was happening in the country, on reforms on the division of former socialist property ...
