The world of Kalevala

The collection of the Calevalia World is dedicated to the 170th anniversary of the publication of the final version of the great epic poem "Kalevala". Elias Lennrot created it on the basis of those ancient runes that he gathered during traveling in the North Karelian lands.

That is why 50 poets and writers, folklorists and scientists from various cities of Russia and Finland took part in the collection. The authors from Belgium and Israel joined them. This means that the amazing Karelian-Finnish epic serves as a noble cause of unification of peoples.
