James Oliver Kerwood is a famous American writer, hunter, traveler and naturalist. His books are on a par with the “calling of the ancestors” and “white fang” by Jack London and the “stories of animals” by Ernest Seton-Tompson. Themes, plots and characters of the works of Kerwood are originating from the deaf taiga regions of Northern Canada and Alaska, in the wanderings of which the author spent a significant part of his life.
