"Hamlet" is Shakespeare"s most famous play. Andrei Chernov and the Publishing House of Nestor-History offer her new commented translation. The play has become a warning to the Scottish King Jacob VI. Having abandoned revenge for the death of his mother, the king prevented the civil war between England and Scotland. The hypothesis about visiting the poet Denmark in 1590 and the production of Hamlet in the castle of Kronborg at the wedding of Jacob VI and Anna Danskaya is nominated. The first edition of the translation by A. Yu. Chernov was published in 2002. For the first time, the transfer was delivered by Dmitry Krymov at the Moscow Theater named after K. S. Stanislavsky.
