The first large-scale collection of prosaic works of the St. Petersburg poet Vasily Kondratyev (1967-1999), supplemented by the elected letters, not only fills out the obvious historical gap, but also represents the author whose background influence on the post-Soviet literature was significant and continues to this day. A fundamental loner, in his works, he blurred the boundaries between poetry and prose, confession and essay, creating a unique type of writing, at the same time deep and artistic, which cannot be confused with anyone else.
