The publication presents two novels of the famous St. Petersburg orientalist and religious scholar Yevgeny Torchinov. “The Apostles of the Dragon” is a continuation of the story of Konstantin Rizin, a scientific employee of the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology, and extraordinary incidents in his academic life.
The second novel is “Chinese Rapsodia” - a work that was not mentioned and never mentioned by the author, discovered in 2014 after his death. His hero, Pavel Zamyatin, associate professor of the Department of Chinese Studies of the St. Petersburg Institute of Eastern Cultures, talks about how his fascination with China began, and about his first trip to this country. There he takes a trip to meet with Taous, who allegedly owns the recipe for the elixir of immortality.
Both novels are largely autobiographical and reflect the scientific interests of the author
